|Sensor and Programming Development Bot|
We needed a platform to be able to try, test, and master every sensor. We built the robot you see here which will also serve as a test bed and demo bot for public events.
It has every sensor (except sound) including a rotation sensor on one of the wheels. The NXT and battery are velcroed down for easy removal. We are missing a continuous rotation servo motor and sensor multiplexer, both of which will be added next week. Notice the simple wire on the servo to indicate position. Also, the use of 14G solid core wire for cross power connections. This wire can be bent into position and does not require soldering.
The goal of this exercise is to give our programming a team a platform on which to test, configure, and master every sensor and combination of sensors. Notice as well we have mounted both Samantha units for testing (used one at a time).
