Resources for the FLL 2008-09 Challenge: Cool Mission Cards. A Great Way to Get Your Team to Find Solutions

Have these resources helped you? Consider making a donation to TechBrick. Click here

This year TechBrick started a second FLL team with Dave and Anne M. as mentors. Dave is an engineer and Anne is an educator and home-schooler. Anne came up with a great idea for helping teams, especially rookie teams, to work through the missions.

She made a small tent card for each task in the mission sequence. Then she placed them on the table and the team had to work through the process of planning the missions by ordering the cards as they went. It's almost like putting pins in a map. They could move them around and place them on the board in a logical sequence.

I watched the team work and it generated a huge amount of discussion and analysis as the team considered each mission step and potential strategies.
