Mission Mars: The 2003 Challenge
In
2003 the FLL Challenge was Mission Mars. With
the recent interest in Mars many have been
looking for the kit and mat art. Remarkably, it
seems that everyone has discarded or otherwise
lost their materials. Based on resources
provided through the
legoengineering@googlegroups.com group we
have recreated the art to a reasonable accuracy
and are providing the game instructions. Still
missing are the assembly instructions, but the
game instructions have enough detail to build
the elements if you are creative.
THE MISSION: Unlock the
fascinating world that lives in Mission Mars,
and experience similar challenges encountered by
scientists and space engineers. Design and
develop a robot that is able to solve the
missions on the playing field. Specific rules
and points are associated with each mission.

A Note about Downloading Files:
It is always preferable to use the HTTP download method rather than
just clicking on a file link. All you need to do is right-click on a link (on
most computers) or click and hold on older Mac and choose the 'save as...'
option. Depending on your browser this will read: "Save Target As..." or "Save
Link As..." or "Save File As..." You can then save the file to your desktop or
other location for use instead of opening it directly into your browser. |

Mission Mars Mat Art
Any banner print location (Kinikos, etc.) should be able to easily print from
the full size versions.
