LabVIEW Training with National Instruments:
Sept 11, 2012
On Sept 11, 12, and 13, 2012, National
Instruments, the creator of LabVIEW, provided
free training for FTC/FRC mentors in the
Baltimore metro area. LabVIEW is used by most
FTC and FRC teams for programming their bots.
LabVIEW is an enterprise application used in
many industries. The 4-hour training sessions
are designed to give mentors some insight into
the challenges the students will face in
programming their bots. The night before, our
amazing facilitator, Kyle, spoke with our FTC/FRC
teams. In the end we got out our Sea Perch
buckets and made a race track. We managed to put
two large holes in the wall (repairable) and
even our PhD's were challenged.

is NO CHARGE FOR THIS TRAINING.
NI provides the
robots, laptops, books, trainer, and
more. They paid for facilitator travel
and lodging and they even bought lunch!
We only provided the space, some tables,
a sound system (that we only used to
play country music during the workbook
sessions), some chairs, and electricity.
Then we marketed it aggressively through
our state networks. All the participants
raved about the training. What are you
waiting for? MORE NI INFO:
