October 16, 2012: All Four Teams Continue to
Innovate and We Have Two Special Guests: Kent
Paulson and our own Dr. Ron Jeffreys
On Tues, October 16, 2012, TechBrick held its
sixth
2012 meeting. This year, thanks to the
generosity of
SURVICE Engineering, we have ample space to
spread out and house 40-50 students on our main
meeting night. It is very exciting to have all
four programs running at the same time and
location. See captions below for comments.
We had two special guests:
- Kent Paulson, who works for Hi-Line,
brought his big truck of amazingly cool
industrial part by for a tour. If you are a
local manufacturing or technology company,
give Kent a call at (443) 752-1540.
Hi-Line (www.hi-line.com)
will bring, right to your door, a crazy
range of almost anything you need to build,
maintain, and service your equipment.
- Dr. Ron Jeffreys, who is the lead
mentor for FTC, is a doctor in real life at
Oak Crest Village in Whitemarsh, MD. He
is the head doc for thousands of 'Super
Seniors' and he had lots to say to our FLL
teams (and free pens!). Learn more
about Oak Crest at their site: (http://www.ericksonliving.com/parkville/parkville-senior-living.asp)
